About the Event
The Clifton Institute hosts this annual butterfly count to contribute data to the North American Butterfly Association.
We are proud to partner with the Clifton Insitute for this event. Volunteers will observe butterflies at many different sites around the area, including Leopold's Preserve! Volunteers will be assigned survey locations after they register.
PLEASE NOTE: This event is not solely hosted at Leopold's Preserve. When you register, you will be assigned a meeting location somewhere in our region. Please DO NOT come to Leopold's Preserve unless you are specifically instructed to meet there.
Butterfly enthusiasts of all levels of experience are welcome! If you feel like you don’t know many butterflies, this is a great way to learn and it’s always helpful to have more eyes pointing out butterflies. Participants will be assigned to small teams, led by an experienced butterfly counter.
