About the Event
On the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, Americans of all ages and backgrounds are invited to join and lead community service projects to honor the lives and service of those we lost on September 11. Cross divides, differences, and ideologies to serve with neighbors and strangers alike to build important bridges in your communities.
At Leopold's Preserve, we'll be working to put a layer of mulch on eroded areas of our trail system. If you have one, please bring a metal rake to help spread the mulch. Please also "dress for a mess" with long pants and closed-toe shoes which you don't mind getting dirty. Be prepared for outdoor conditions including seasonal weather, thorns, poison ivy, and ticks. Please bring your own bottle of water to drink.
