Clifton Dragonfly Count 2025

The Clifton Institute hosts this annual dragonfly count to learn which species of dragonflies and damselflies are found in our area, to monitor changes in their populations, and to encourage everyone to learn more about Odonates.

We are proud to partner with the Clifton Insitute for this event. Volunteers will observe dragonflies at many different sites around the area, including Leopold's Preserve! Volunteers will be assigned survey locations after they register.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is not solely hosted at Leopold's Preserve. When you register, you will be assigned a meeting location somewhere in our region. Please DO NOT come to Leopold's Preserve unless you are specifically instructed to meet there.

This count is open to people of all experience levels. We welcome dragonfly experts as well as anyone who is interested in learning about these fascinating insects.
