About the Event
The Bull Run Mountains Conservancy invites you and your child to spend an adventurous outing interacting with and learning about nature! Programs feature new curriculum each month, outlined below. Cost is $5 per participant (including adults). We offer two programs per month - one desgined for older kids and one that is open to all ages.
April - Birds & Blooms: Join us to enjoy the start of spring by taking in the early ephemeral wildflower display and the beginning of the bird nesting season with a focus on bluebird boxes.
May - Treat It or Eat It: Ever wonder which flowers are not only edible but taste good, which tree provides a toothbrush, or which plant is a grocery store, hardware store, and pharmacy? Join us for a plant exploration.
June - Freshwater Ecology: Join us for a stream exploration and learn about all the fascinating critters that inhabit our freshwater systems.
