About the Event
We are thrilled to have two sections of forest within Leopold's Preserve recognized as part of the Old-Growth Forest Network. This ceremony will include brief remarks from staff and representatives from the Old-Growth Forest Network, the White House Farm Foundation, and local partners. Then, we will take a guided hike through "Pinkard Woods", one of the newly designated Old-Growth areas of the Preserve.
Parking directions: This event will NOT begin from the Leopold's Preserve public parking lot. The approximate parking location is 16134 Thoroughfare Rd. When you arrive on Thoroughfare Road, please follow the directional signage which will be posted on the side of the road. It will lead you to a small mowed parking area located under power lines.
