About the Event
Naturalist Claudia Thompson-Deahl and botanist Marion Lobstein will lead a botanical walk to explore fall wildflowers and grasses at the Preserve. This program is suitable for beginners and experts alike. No registration required.
The walk will cover less than 1 mile of distance with frequent stops to examine and admire our native plants. It will take place on relatively level, hard-packed ground suitable for those with accessibility needs, including users of canes, walkers, and rollators. Wheelchair users may be able to navigate the trails if they are comfortable traversing grass and dirt surfaces. We recommend double-checking weather conditions in the days leading up to this program, as heavy rain can create muddy spots on the trails.
This is an outdoor program - please dress appropriately for the weather. This program will be canceled for heavy rain or other dangerous conditions. Please check the Prince William Wildflower Society facebook page for cancellation notices.
Hosted by the Prince William Wildflower Society, a chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society.
