About the Event

This volunteer event is intended for residents of the Villages of Piedmont I and II neighborhoods. Volunteers are welcome to stay as long as they'd like - drop in for an hour, or stay for the full event. This activity is open to all ages, but volunteers under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you are interested in a volunteer event for younger children, please contact us.

April 18th: Community Cleanup! The Villages of Piedmont neighborhoods are surrounded by Leopold's Preserve, and though the Preserve is open to the public, we are proud of our unique connection with the Villages of Piedmont. In partnership with the VOP I and II HOAs, we are hosting a volunteer community cleanup event to remove trash along Route 15, Pitner Street, and the stormwater ponds to beautify the Villages of Piedmont.

All participants must register through our website so we can reach out with information. If we need to cancel due to inclement weather, only registered participants will be notified.

Attire: all volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants to protect against thorns, insect bites, and poison ivy. Anyone who is dressed inappropriately (shorts, sandals, etc.) will not be allowed to volunteer. To keep yourself comfortable, we recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray.

Equipment: We will supply gloves, grabbers, and trash bags. Arrive with clothing for working outside to get dirty, a water bottle, and a smile. Volunteers will have access to restrooms and a water fountain.

Location: Please meet at the VOP II clubhouse.

Keep an eye on your inbox on the day before the event. We'll send you details about where to meet and what to expect.
