Leopold's Preserve Stormwater Pond, 16051 Green Bay St, Haymarket, VA 20169, USA

About the Event

Help us maintain our pond by removing trash and painting over graffiti. No previous experience or tools are required. We will supply gloves, grabbers, and trash bags. Arrive with clothing for working outside to get dirty, a water bottle, and a smile. Please be aware that you may encounter muddy areas. Volunteers should wear waterproof boots/shoes - preferably that go up past the ankle.

This pond represents a truly unique stormwater management system that incorporates native grasses and wildflowers. We'll walk the edges of the pond collecting trash and debris to prevent it from running into streams and rivers. Please meet at the Green Bay Street cul-de-sac, at approximately 16051 Green Bay Street, Haymarket. Carpooling is encouraged.
